Mission Statement

We believe the commission to the local New Testament Church was made very clear by our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ; to Win, Baptize, and to Teach. Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore, Gospel Light Baptist Church has as our goal to:
1. Glorify God by lifting up Jesus.
2. Win the lost by personal soul-winning and other evangelistic means.
3. Edify the believers through teaching and training. We are endeavoring to reach Mechanicsville and Southern Maryland with the Gospel of Christ through the ministries of our Church and the world with our strong commitment to a world-wide mission program.
If you want to be part of a world-wide soul-winning ministry and follow our Saviour by obeying His command, then come and join with us in this great effort.

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
